Security and Law Enforcement Courses
Hapkido College Masters Ryoo and Kim along with their extensive experience in martial arts also served in the Korean military and hold security licenses. They have also worked as security guards in the rough streets of Sydney city so they know and understand the systems and protection required for the trade. They have trained many individuals of the Australian Federal Police Force, NSW Police Force and various security guards.
The main benefit for law enforcement personnel training Hapkido reflects in it's philosophy being more self defence than offence focused. Through learning Hapkido techniques one will discover that they can immobilize and control an attacker with minimal force resulting in a situation where the attacker can be apprehended without major harm to the attacker. Hapkido training also emphasizes defence against weapons such as a knife, baseball bat and handgun.
Military and Law Enforcement organisations throughout Europe, the US and Asia have all been exposed to Hapkido training. In particular Grandmaster Ji Han-Jae was personal bodyguard to South Korea's president Park, Chung-Hee (1962-1979) and trained various US and Korean government organisations including the FBI and CIA. Grandmaster Han, Bong-Soo whilst in Vietnam trained many Korean and US Special Forces troops. Recently the South Korean armed forces made a change from training in Taekwondo and adopted a style heavily influenced by Hapkido named Tukong Musul, making Hapkido the ideal style for law enforcement training.
Law Enforcement and Security Agencies looking for further training for their staff are welcome to contact HCA to discuss group or individual training options.
